Successful ICMPME 2025 & CfAMT Research Symposium 2025 organised by CfAMT

It was our absolute pleasure and great privilege to have distinguished guests, respected colleagues, and honoured speakers joining the 11th International Conference on Materials Processing and Manufacturing Engineering (ICMPME 2025) & Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Technology (CfAMT) Research Symposium 2025. In the past three days, this conference allowed us to free exchange ideas, challenges, opportunities and perspectives among researchers in advanced manufacturing and advanced materials, structures and systems in the relevant fields of research under the framework of Industry 4.0/5.0.

Warmest congratulations to all speakers, including 6 plenary speakers, 9 keynote/invited speakers, and 30 general speakers for their wonderful and interactive presentations! Well done indeed.  

Thanks very much, Prof Gu Fang, Deputy Director of the Centre for Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Technology (CfAMT) did the Opening & Acknowledgement of Country, Prof Yang Xiang, Dean of the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment (SoEBDE) for delivering a warm welcome to the participants, and Prof Richard (Chunhui) Yang, Director, CfAMT for his presentation on our Centre's achievements in 2025 . Thank you so much, all the plenary and parallel session chairs,for running them smoothly.

We would like to acknowledge the great efforts and dedications from the Conference Co-chair, Prof. Sarah (Yixia) Zhang FTSE,FIEAust, the Local Organising Committee, including Dr Leo Zhang, Dr Karthick Thiyagarajan, Dr Payam Zarafshan, Dr Ee Loon Tan, Dr Mobarak Hossain, etc.  We would like to show our gratitude to our volunteers who were kept busy during these 3 days, Dr Shiyao Zhu, Dr Xiangyu Xie, Qiuzhe Hu, Nimit Jain, Hao He, Phan Quoc Khang Nguyen, Qinjun (Lavender) Liu, etc. The Team from our co-organiser, Academic Exchange Information Centre (AEIC), is much appreciated, for their overall support.  

We also would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Admin Team in SoEDBE led by Ms Jodie Clark, the TRTS Team, led by Dr. Tosin Famakinwa, the AMCF Team led by Dr Ric Wuhrer, the Launch Pad - Western Sydney University led by Don Wright, for their endless support on our R&D activities over the years. Great support from Distinguished Professor Brian Falzon, Faculty Executive Dean, is much appreciated too.

We also warmly congratulate Dr Nathaniel Corrigan for winning the Conference 's Best ECR Paper Award 2025, Dong An for winning the Conference 's Best HDR Paper Award 2025, Dr Shiyao Zhu for winning the CfAMT's Best ECR Researcher Award 2025, and Phan Quoc Khang Nguyenfor winning the CfAMT's Best HDR Research Award 2025.   

Last but not least, we really appreciated our sponsors - Western Sydney University, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence/MSC Software, and OMRON Automation and Robotics Australia, for financial supports. Without these supports, this Conference cannot be successful.
